Our Story

Trevor and April both grew up with an agricultural background. Trevor's parent's ran a cow/calf operation, always had horses, and he was in 4H & FFA. April was basically raised in the barn, with a mix of buffalo in her early life, chickens, pigs, steers to fill the freezer, as well as a horse once she got older. She was also in 4H.

When Trevor and April met and later decided to marry, they knew that living in the country and being able to also raise their own food would be an important factor in their lives. Then, they started having babies. When their oldest was 2 they started running 20 head of Trevor's parent's heifers out on pasture and started to rotationally graze them. They were both in awe and fell in love with the practice.

Trevor went to Greg Judy Grazing School that spring and learned so much. Basically from there on out they have been loving what they are learning, and even though things may not be perfect (yet) that is the goal to work towards.

They love being able to do this as a family and love being able to show their kids where their meat comes from as well as teaching them what hard work is, but at the same time making time for the important things in life together. Being able to provide delicious beef sticks and other items at the market as well as sharing beef shares with other families is something they take huge pride in.
